About me 

My name is Tristan Montet. I grew up in the suburbs of Toulon, a peaceful and sunny city by the sea. My path seemed predictable: high school, university in my hometown, and a stable career without much excitement. But during my final year of undergrad, something clicked. The ambition that had always been inside me suddenly became clear : I wanted to go far, to experience life in a big city, to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

For years, I had pushed this idea away, maybe out of fear of the unknown. But that day, I decided to listen to it. After all, what did I really have to lose? Comfort? Money? Those things are temporary. Life, on the other hand, is only lived once. So, I took the leap. I told my parents, packed my bags, and almost overnight, I found myself at the airport, saying goodbye before flying to Montreal. Everything happened so fast, finishing my degree, dealing with paperwork, saying farewell… and in the blink of an eye, I was starting a new chapter on the other side of the Atlantic.

Cela fait maintenant deux ans et demi que je vis dans ce pays pour lequel j’ai eu un véritable coup de foudre. Loin d’être un long fleuve tranquille, ce changement de vie m’a confronté à des défis : la solitude, le choc culturel, les hivers, des nuits entières de travail… Mais aujourd’hui, je suis fier d’être diplômé d’une maîtrise en finance à HEC Montréal, figurant au tableau d'honneur. 

Je sais que mon parcours ne fait que commencer. Je n’ai peut-être pas encore toute l’expérience attendue, mais j’ai la détermination de dix personnes réunies. Mon ambition est intacte : prouver qu’on peut partir de n’importe où, d’une petite ville du sud de la France, et atteindre ses objectifs.
